01. Nordoff Robbins
“James has a real passion for music and, like us, a strong belief in the difference music can make to people’s lives. We are delighted to have him on board and we are proud to have him as an Ambassador. We know his involvement will help us raise much needed funds and awareness to enable us to bring the transformative power of music to many more lives.”
Nordoff Robbins is a specialist music charity, dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children and adults across the UK.
Nordoff Robbins provides over 50,000 music therapy sessions each year to help people struggling with a range of challenges including autism and other learning difficulties, dementia, mental health problems, stroke, brain injury and depression. Some of our clients have a life-threatening or terminal illness, such as cancer.
We work wherever we are needed - in schools, day centres, hospitals, care homes and our own centres up and down the county.
Nordoff Robbins music therapy uses the power of music, through improvisation, singing, playing, listening or moving, to help people communicate, engage and interact. It can help physically, emotionally, mentally and socially. It can help people living with enormous challenges to feel more motivated, social and self-confident. The results can have a profound and positive impact on individuals, their families and those around them.
All of the people we help have one uniting factor - music dramatically improves their quality of life.
“Nordoff Robbins’ music therapy work struck a real chord with me. I’m a really big music fan so to see a charity using music to transform lives is really special to me. During a visit to their centre, I got to see first-hand the difference music therapy can make to all kinds of people. Their work is really unique and I’m proud to support them.” - James

“I am delighted and honoured to be names as Ambassador of the LCCC Foundation. I made my debut for Lancashire in 2001 and am happy to support my county’s involvement in the community. The Club has helped with my development and I am confident that the LCCC Foundation will do the same for many others in the North West”.
The LCCC Foundation aims to Inspire Communities Through Cricket and is an independent, charitable-focused organisation which leads on all the fundraising and community-led activities for LCCC – working across education and training, healthy lifestyles, heritage, fundraising, community projects and youth cricket.
